
Gordon Trucking, Inc. is honored to present 19 year truck driving veteran Frank Fagan with its April Driver of the Month award.
Currently driving solo for the Temperature Control division, Frank started with GTI as a 21 year-old teaming with his grandfather, Hank Cromwell.
Before getting behind the wheel, Frank served in the U.S. Military and attended Pacific Truck School taught by Cindy Kopp, wife of former GTI driver and 4 million safe miles award winner, Frank Kopp.

Gordon Trucking, Inc. was awarded first place at the Oregon Safe Carrier of the Year awards presented by the Oregon Trucking Association and Great West Casualty.
The award was presented to Josh Johnson, director of risk management on Friday, April 13 in Springfield, Ore.
The OTA has been serving the needs of the state's trucking industry for more than 60 years. According to their Web site, the OTA is the only organization promoting and protecting the interests of the entire Oregon industry before the legislature, administrative agencies and courts. The Association is an authorized provider of both state and county permits.

Gordon Trucking, Inc. is excited to honor Larry Lamson as its Driver of the Month for March.
Larry drives on the general US fleet, covering all areas of the country and is known to be out on the road six to eight weeks at a time. In June, Larry will celebrate 10 years of service for GTI.
In March, Larry covered some significant and impressive ground. Driving close to 13 thousand miles, Larry averaged 6.8 MPG, had zero over speed, maintained less than 1 percent idle and had a perfect service record. Larry also received a positive observation report about his driving from a person not linked to the company.

Gordon Trucking, Inc. is pleased to recognize Sidney Van Valkenburgh as its February Driver of the Month.
Sidney started driving for GTI in 2007 and is currently on the US-97 fleet that runs primarily between Wash. and Calif. Sidney’s Lathrop-based Fleet Manager, Matthew Gonzalez said he’s proud to have Sidney on his team.
"Sidney is the definition of efficiency,” said Matthew. “He’s a great communicator and he is excellent at anticipating potential problems. Sidney’s performance exceeds expectations and he’s always willing to step up when needed.”

Gordon Trucking, Inc. is pleased to announce Ernest (Ernie) Sire as its January Driver of the Month.
While driving for GTI, Ernie put up some impressive numbers in January. His miles per gallon were at 7.47, his idle time below 1 percent and Ernie maintained a perfect service record for the company.
Ernie has been with GTI since 2003 and is currently driving for the Georgia Pacific Dedicated Fleet. His Fleet Manager, Casey Kuper said Ernie is an act to follow.

Alexandria, Va. - Gordon Trucking, Inc. was named a top 20 national carrier to drive for by the Truckload Carriers Association.
An official announcement was released on the TCA Web site on Jan 27. As stated on the announcement, months of nominations, interviews and scoring determined these top trucking companies that provide the best workplace experience for professional truck drivers.
A variety of factors were used in the interviews and scoring to determine the top 20 including work environment, pay, benefits, turnover and fleet-wide safety.

Hope everyone had a great and safe Holiday! It is now 2012 and maybe some of you have made resolutions to get out and exercise a little more, or maybe to spend more time with your family.
