Linda Bulliss honored as GTI's September Driver of the Month

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Linda Bulliss as our September Driver of the Month. Linda has been with GTI for for almost 2 years and has been driving for almost 3 years.

Linda drives for the Coke Michigan Dedicated Fleet which runs between the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek areas.  Linda averages around 350 miles per day including between 10 and 12 drop and hooks.  It is a run most drivers shy away from due to the repetiveness and tight backing spaces, but Linda has a real passion for trucking and loves what she does.

GTI Boise Shop Now Open

Gordon Trucking is happy to announce the opening of the newest shop located in Boise, Idaho.  The Boise terminal officially opened in June of 2013 with a small operations staff and recently added a recruiting assistant. The addition of the shop will help provide a full service terminal for all drivers based in Idaho, as well as those passing through on I-84.

Joe Weir honored as GTI's Driver of the Month for August

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Joe Weir as our August Driver of the Month. Joe has been with GTI for 12 years.  Before trucking, Joe owned a construction company in Colorado.  He got into trucking in 1980 when he realized he didn't like construction anymore and pursued his love of the open road.  While growing up, he was asked what he wanted to do and being a truck driver was on that list, so he went for it.

Joe drives on the NWX division which runs between Oregon and Washington.  Joe is always flexible when it comes to the changing of load information that comes with trucking.  He is also a great communicator.

Diann Ross wins Washington Trucking Association's Driver of the Year

GTI was again honored at the Washington Trucking Association’s “Day with the Winners” breakfast this year, as Diann Ross won the Washington Trucking Association’s “Common Carrier” Driver of the Year award.  The award was presented by members of the Washington Trucking Association, Washington State Patrol and Great West Casualty. Emily Lawrence, Russ Tiegs, Bob Peterson and Jeremy Hall were all on hand to support Diann on this wonderful achievement.

Karl Sherman honored as GTI's Driver of the Month for July

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Karl Sherman as our July Driver of the Month. Karl has been with GTI for over nine years.  He had been in the construction industry since he was 17 years old.  Then he decided that trucking was a good fit for him and came to work for GTI.

Karl drives on the Temperature Control fleet and drives throughout the 48 contiguous states.  Karl is always professional, always safe out there on the road, and always represents GTI with his clean ride.

Joseph and Chandra Botelho honored as GTI's Drivers of the Month for June

Gordon Trucking would like to recognize Joe and Chandra Botelho as our June Drivers of the Month, and the first team for 2014.  Having done odd jobs in the past, Joe started driving truck over 10 years ago, and loves every minute of it.  Chandra had worked at the Humane Society for over 10 years before she started driving with her husband.  

The couple joined the Gordon Team Fleet back in December, where they play a major role in servicing our customers that require team transit, such as Amazon and Conway.  David Loper fleet manager states, “The Botelhos didn’t take long learning our system, and their work ethic and commitment to customer service does not go unnoticed.  We were happy to nominate them as Drivers of the Month for those reasons specifically.”

Gordon Trucking competes in Idaho Truck Driving Championships

Gordon Trucking had three drivers compete in the Idaho Truck Driving Championships on June 13th in Meridian, ID.  The competition included over 40 drivers from the state in nine different categories ranging from flat beds, tankers, three axle combo, and sleeper berth.  Brian Ferguson, John Kauten and Tom Kelley from GTI all competed in the five axle sleeper berth category.
