Gordon Trucking and Heartland Express combine terminals in Phoenix

Gordon Trucking and Heartland Express have combined their operations in Phoenix.  GTI had previously operated a leased terminal in Phoenix for approximately 12 years while Heartland built a new terminal a few years ago.  It was an easy decision to bring everyone together into the Heartland terminal.

Gordon Trucking and Heartland Express held a driver welcome event on Thursday, December 12th and Friday, December 13th.  The event included over 150 attendees from Heartland Express and GTI including both drivers and office staff.  Breakfast and lunch were served and everyone had a chance to ask questions, share stories, and talk about the future.

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, held September 16-20, Gordon Trucking, Inc. took the time to honor and recognize their professional truck drivers’ nationwide. “We would like to thank our professional truck drivers who are out on the roads every day keeping the nations’ economy moving, we appreciate your hard work and dedication to safety,” said Larry Gordon, GTI’s Chief Executive Officer.

Daily events included free giveaways, catered lunches, truck washes, gift bags, health and wellness screenings, and various vendors and employees led activities in an effort to help give back to those who deliver the freight across the country 365 days a year.

Gordon Trucking is hosting our annual Truck Driver Appreciation festivities during the week of September 16th through the 20th. “National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is an opportunity to honor all professional drivers for their hard work and commitment in tackling one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs,” said Steve Gordon, GTI’s chief operating officer.

On June 12th 2013 Gordon Trucking, Inc. officially opened the doors of their latest terminal located in Boise, ID.  This addition marks the 11th GTI terminal strategically located across the US.

More than 80 people walked through the doors to help welcome GTI to Boise and enjoy a catered lunch. Those in attendance ranged from GTI management, customers, and drivers to neighbors and friends as well as a number of members from the local Chamber of Commerce.

Gordon Trucking hosts grand opening event in Pontoon Beach

Gordon Trucking, Inc. opened the doors to its new fully operational terminal in Pontoon Beach, Ill for a grand opening celebration that included the official ribbon cutting for the property on Thursday, April 4.

The event featured members of GTI’s leadership team from our Pacific, Green Bay and Indianapolis terminals and included lunch to all in attendance.  Local community representatives at the event included Rosemarie Brown – executive director of the Southwestern Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Matt Hart – director of the Illinois Trucking Association and John Herzog – director of Madison County economic development.  Several of GTI’s customers and vendors were also in attendance.

Gordon Trucking purchases Buske Lines

Gordon Trucking Inc is announcing the company’s Aug 16 acquisition of Midwest trucking company Buske Lines Inc., currently headquartered in Edwardsville, Ill. 

In the deal, Gordon Trucking obtains Buske Lines’ 150 power units and 375 refrigerated and dry-van trailers.  Along with the assets, Gordon Trucking also acquires a 35,000 square foot shop located in Pontoon Beach, Ill.  This expansion will create additional truck driving career opportunities with Gordon Trucking throughout the Midwest Region.

Ground breaking for new GTI Lathrop terminal begins

LATHROP, Calif. – Gordon Trucking Inc is pleased to announce the ground breaking of its newest terminal for Northern California operations.

Accompanied by Lathrop Mayor J. “Chaka” Santos and Vice Mayor, Christopher Mateo, GTI executives and management participated in the ceremonial dig on April 16.

The terminal will encompass 16 acres and include a new 23,000 square-foot facility with a target grand-opening in November of this year.

GTI opens new Southern California terminal

  
  
  

Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – Gordon Trucking Inc is pleased to announce the grand-opening of its new facility for operations in Southern California.

The introduction ceremony for the state of the art terminal kicked off Wednesday morning with the official ribbon cutting. The Gordon Family was in attendance to receive the occupancy permit from city mayor, Donald J. Kurth.

“The city of Rancho Cucamonga is thrilled to have Gordon Trucking locate here in our city,” said Kurth. “Rancho Cucamonga has high standards, with tough development requirements. We appreciate that Larry Gordon and his company has met all of our requirements in the building of this beautiful facility here in our city.”
