GTI's Homeward Bound Program extends into Oregon
Gordon Trucking Inc and the Washington State Patrol have extended their partnership with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office to spread project Homeward Bound into Oregon.
On June 4, 2010 Kyron Horman disappeared from Skyline Elementary School in Portland. His photo can be seen on five GTI trailers currently on the road. The goal of Homeward Bound is to increase awareness on missing children like Kyron and hopefully lead to his return.
Started in 2006, GTI and the WSP partnered to create the Homeward Bound program to help find local missing children. Since then, six children have been recovered.
GTI currently travels across the lower 48 states with large pictures of 23 missing children displayed on 86 trailers. 15 select trailers have both original and age progression enhanced photos of the children.
GTI, the WSP and the MCSO hope to partner with additional states and bring home more missing children throughout the country.
