Gordon Trucking launched its new blog on Monday, June 27th.   The tool will help GTI distribute company and industry related content to employees, customers, vendors, and anyone with an interest in following GTI and the trucking industry. Of primary importance is using the tool to communicate more effectively with our best in class professional driving force.  Because our truck drivers spend the majority of their time on the road and in the cab of a truck, it is challenging to communicate company news, events, achievements, and industry related content to them.  This new tool will allow us to do this much more effectively.

"We are extremely excited about the potential to use our trucking blog and company social media pages to communicate more effectively with our professional truck driving associates out on the road," said Scott Gordon, chief information officer.  "With these new tools, it is feasible to deliver company and industry related content right to the cab of the truck over a variety of electronic devices and communication methods.  Any opportunity to make our truck driving force feel more connected to the company is a huge win for Gordon Trucking."

Thanks for the feedback and yes we will communicating to drivers via email next week. If you don't think we have your email on file, please ask your driver manager to have it entered in the driver master on the dispatch system.

I’m a driver at Gordon Trucking and I found this blog by chance. Maybe the company could do a better job of letting drivers know about this sort of stuff?
