GTI is state's safest fleet five years running
Gordon Trucking Inc received its fifth consecutive Washington State Safe Fleet of the Year Award presented by the Washington State Patrol and Washington Trucking Association. Long time Gordon team drivers, Jim and Jo Bailey, also received recognition for driving 5 million accident free miles.
Jim and Jo Bailey, Chief Information Officer, Scott Gordon, and Vice President of Safety, Scott Manthey received the awards on July 23 at the Emerald Downs Race Track in Auburn, Wash.
The Safe Fleet of the Year honor is for common carrier fleets based in Washington State that operate in excess of 5 million miles per year. Criteria for this award include safe miles, overall compliance and providing a positive influence on others in the trucking industry.
Gordon Trucking’s safety achievements have been recognized throughout the Pacific Northwest and west coast in 2011. GTI was recognized for
fleet safety in the state of Oregon and also received recognition for
fleet safety in California.
GTI team drivers, Jim and Jo Bailey were recognized by the Washington state for reaching 5 million safe driving miles at the event. Jim and Jo were also honored for this amazing achievement at GTI's annual safety award event. In addition to this team, the company also honored more than 600 driving associates with awards of 100,000 to 5 million accident free miles.
